Self-Rating: 4

The school has a school-wide mission and a vision statement that reinforce to both the faculty and students the importance of high expectations. Chambers Public School offers many programs that reinforce the school's commitment to high expectations. These include the identification of High Ability Learners (HAL) in grades 3-12, and the implementation of activities that allow these students to reach their maximum potential. The school has also added a social and emotional learning (SEL) program in grades K-12 to help students learn imperative strategies to help them flourish in an ever-changing society.

Students are recognized in many ways for achieving success. Each semester an honor roll is compiled of students who have achieved an 'A' or an 'A and B' average. This is shared on the school website and is published in the local newspaper. Parents are often notified by teachers by email or a note when student expectations have been exceeded. Students are recognized for showing kindness to others in the school's Caring Coyotes program. The school also has a recognition board in the lunchroom to commend students for positive behavior and academic achievements.

Classroom instruction ensures active engagement as lessons are presented in multiple learning styles. Students are allowed to choose tactile, auditory, or visual ways of learning information. Learners participate with confidence in classroom instruction as they are often allowed to decide the learning style that best meets their individual needs. Classrooms have flexible seating and bands on chairs that allow students to move around the classroom in a non-disruptive manner.
