Chambers Public School has implemented professional learning communities. These PLCs are learner-centered and designed around the principle that professional learning helps professional staff members hone their individual instructional skills. Professional staff members attend many opportunities throughout the year: ESU 8 workshops, online training, and district-offered professional development opportunities. In addition, professional staff member are encouraged to attend conferences and take continuing education coursework. These opportunities focus on improving pedagogical skills and knowledge to better address students' needs and interests. A documented process is utilized by school leaders to review and evaluate professional development opportunities.
